Where in the wOrLd is Nick??

So as I'm catching up on all these posts from past months it is occurring to me that it's tough to find pictures of Nickolas... Did you notice?? Maybe not. So, here is the deal. He is constantly running out of the picture. It's his hilarious game (only to him of course) AND I have gotten much wiser (I'd like to hope) and he doesn't go on all our family adventures all the time. Thanks to my amazing Mother and Sister Emily, sometimes we can leave him home. **GASP** Yes, we really leave him home while we are out partying it up sometimes... Like our Disney trip we just took over New Years 2011... Photos to come... You won't see a single photo of him cause he wasn't there. It was FaBuLoUs not chasing after him all week and NO STROLLER!!!
He is so dang funny and crazy and 100% entertaining and also the toughest toddler we've had (probably why he graced our family last and not first) So, we have realized that sometimes, it's best if he stays home ♥ Just for now.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 had a Birthday in August!!

So as you all know (or maybe you don't) that Nickolas has a cousin (Logan) who is only 5 days apart from him to the minute... REally, they were born at the EXACT same time... anyhow, this year we decided to celebrate their 2nd Birthday together... What a fun day!!
I still cannot believe how quickly the time is flying by with our #4. He is so funny to me. Quick- witted like the other kids, but discovered his humor much younger than them it seems. He talks as much as they do. Sometimes I have to remind myself that he is only 2 when I am carrying a full conversation with him. He skipped over duplo bocks and went straight to Legos. He has been climbing onto anything he can get to since 15 mos including counter tops or whatever he's interested in. He used to stack things up to reach, now he just climbs up the drawers like a monkey. It is January now and we are getting ready for potty training... WOW, already?!

Not happy with cake...
Home made thing 1 and thing 2 cupcakes...

These were a pain, and I wouldn't do it again... FYI cotton candy melts in a matter of a couple minutes when it comes in contact with frosting. Took a batch to figure it out ♥ The cotton candy must be applied RIGHT before it will be served.

Funny Guy

Nick also when through a "hat stage" Everyday I would find him with a different strange hat on his head (or underwear from one of the kids) or something else on his head... he really is funny

Time out!

I don't remember exactly when I took these, but I had to include them in my memories from the past half year... Nick has been BY FAR, our smartest baby. Little Houdini we like to call him. He gets into EVERYTHING. So, for a time, I was able to put him into his pack and play for "time out" unfortunately because he's sooo smart he figured out really quickly how to get out... So here are some photos of the torture LOL.

I can get it myself

I have been able to get into some nasty habits... I will blame it on Lukas our #3. He has been the EASIEST child in that he has NEVER (I know, never say never) gotten into things he shouldn't... Really the first three were like that. We never needed baby locks, gates or any of that business, no coloring on walls, playing in toilets etc. and I never worried about them if I wasn't right next to them. Then came #4. If he had been the #1 there is a good chance I would have been too tired to have #s 2-4 But, the Lord knew that, so he graced our CrAzY family LAST.... He saved all the climbing, getting into EVERYTHING, and me not being able to turn my back on him for last. This morning I was upstairs cleaning (because I don't have to worry about my baby when he's downstairs right?!) I hollered down to ask #3 "how is the baby?" he quickly replied "oh, he's great" and went back to what he was doing.... AND HE WAS GREAT!! This is what I found when I finally went downstairs.... Yogurt anyone?? Oh, how I love this kid!!

LoOk Ma!! 2 TeEtH !!

Finally by 11 mos, Nickolas is chomping with 2 new teeth!! Yahoo. The Onstine kids generally have not gotten teeth until 10 mos or so, so this wasn't anything new, but it is nice to be able to increase the variety in his diet. How cute is he?!

iT's TiMe FoR a KuT

Check out my new doo

just getting started...

Well it was finally time for Nickolas to get his first haircut. Not desperate but certainly a bit shaggy :) So, we took him to the same place the other 3 kids have had their first haircuts, CJ's cuts for kids. They do a great job. Nickolas was so interested in what the stylist was doing that he didn't even need any toys to keep him occupied. He just sat there watching her in the mirror. We never even heard a peep out of him. The finished project; one cute happy kid with a tad bit shorter hair.

What happened to all the baby wipes?!

"I'm innocent, really..."Hmmmm, where did all these baby wipes come from?!
Oh, it was YOU ♥
Nickolas

So, I was out of the room for a minute and well... that's all it takes, a minute. I came back into the room to find Nickolas pulling all the baby wipes from the container. Just happily plucking them one after the other and sucking the "juice" from them. YUCK! At least he's clean now!

I have officially found my toes!!!

Always smiling!
He has officially found his toes!!

Trying some new foods!
We'll give a bit of an update on Nickolas... He is now 7 mos (where does the time go??) I cannot believe that it's already been that long. He's a whopping (ha ha ha) 14 pounds, but starting to get some chub on his body finally. He has found his toes, which is one of my MOST favorite baby discoveries of all time) He spends much of his time trying to fit his entire foot in his mouth, unfortunately it almost fits... He is VERY ticklish and laughs out loud. He just started stringing his D sounds together, so at 6 AM we'll here him shouting DAH, DAH, DAH at the top of his lungs. I just wish "DAH" was home to get him at that hour :) He is rolling all over the place and trying to sit up, but we're still working on that one. He loves the kids!! It's so fun to see him light up when they play with him, talk to him, or just when they are getting home from school. What a joy to have a baby in the house... He really is such a blessing to all of us :)
Today, I love being a Mom....
