Christmas 2009

Enjoying our tradition of chocolate fondue on Christmas Eve
Randy LOVES Zhu Zhu pets!!
Nonnie, Papa Cal and Great-Grandpa Wheeler joined us this year
Zhu Zhu's all around
Nickolas, not quite sure what to make of all the commotion

Exhausted from all this laundry business

Luke loves to help me sort dirty laundry and put it in the washer. One evening in November he was "helping" me... After being away for a few minutes I came back to find him catching some ZZZZZs on top of the pile. So funny, I had to share.

It's GREAT to be EIGHT!!

OOPs with all the posting I've done today so far, I missed Mac's eighth Birthday... So here it is. She wanted to go ice skating this year so we invited some of her gal pals to join us. What a BLAST!! We started out at the house complete with cake, ice cream and gifts then we scooted on over to Skatetown in Roseville to skate. Mackenzie LOVES to ice skate and she has so much fun with all her friends. Surely, a Birthday to remember for years to come

To play contact sports after 40??... That is the debate!!

So Randy was out playing football with a bunch of friends from Church on my constant nagging him to get out and "have some fun" SOOOO, he had fun and separated his shoulder badly. It required surgery which included a plate, screws and some cadaver grafting to hold it all together. After 3 long months on disability he's finally back to work. I MISS HIM being home but we missed his income more!! He's still doing Physical Therapy and hopefully soon he'll be able to return to his love of Brazilian Juijitsu ♥
right after the injury
so happy to be getting it fixed after an agonizing weekend
right after surgery... he came out bawling like a baby and said he was happy to be alive ♥ it was the anesthesia the Dr. said...
How he spent the next couple months... ON DRUGS

Halloween 2009

Halloween was great fun in 2009!! We all went as Star Wars characters this year except for Randy who has separated his shoulder that morning and was in too much pain to wear his costume... We especially loved our little baby Yoda and Mackenzie's Princess Leia hair ♥

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm Oct 2009

We are never fully ready for Halloween until we've visited Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland California. So many fun things to do, see and EAT!! This year we enjoyed our visit with our friends the Pizzuti's. What a BLAST!!

Ended the night with a little family crafting!! Paper trees and playdough ghosts

Here comes Speed Racer!

Luke loves CARS so it only made sense to have a "Speed Racer" Birthday party when he turned four back in October 2009. The kids had a blast with their racing helmets and cars. We enjoyed the company of fun family and friends for the occasion, and I made a crazy race track cake just for him. What a fun party!

What are you doing out there Daddy?!

I had to post this. Nickolas LOVES to watch Randy out the window when he is out in the backyard working. This day was no exception...

It's the First day of School Aug 2009

Like most kids, our kids love the first day of School! We started off this year with their favorites chocolate chip pancakes, new shoes, and Randy's hard boiled eggs with little faces drawn on them (he has such talent) LOL

Jack, excited to be in first grade

First Perm or EEG for Nickolas??

Nickolas has had "breath-holding" spells since he was about 5 mos old where he passes out and turns blue for as long as 30-60 seconds... which sometimes feels like an eternity. Anyhow at about a year old they were being followed by siezures. We ran all the necessary tests, Cat scans, EEG, and MRI along with bloodwork to rule out anything crazy... Luckily, they are totally benign and he should outgrow them by age 5. They are still scary at times, but we are getting used to them when they do happen. These pictures are from his EEG which he was a trooper at. Randy and I both thought it looked like he was having a perm because of all the cotton on his head :~)
