Every night since the kids were born we read before bed. Now that the kids are getting older, they read to us, then we read to them. So last night Lukas was patiently waiting for his turn... and well, it just took too long. Before we knew it, we heard someone snoring. We looked over to find Luke crashed on Randy's shoulder snoozing away! So cute ♥

Happy 6th Birthday Jacksen!!
Well... YAY!! we survived another Birthday party. We celebrated Jacksen's 6Th Birthday on the last day of school. It was the day before his actual birthday and it just made sense to do it then. We also joined forces with his good buddy Kyle, who also turned 6 (their birthdays are 2 days apart) We invited the entire kindergarten class since we were having the party right after school at the park (which is connected to the school, so they just walked straight over) The rest of the school didn't get out for another hour and a half so we had the park completely to ourselves.
It was GREAT! I made Pizza cakes (complete with candy toppings and white chocolate "cheese") to go with our theme of pizza and water guns.
** I've had a number of requests re: the pizza cake. I used a 14" round from wilton (takes 2 cake mixes) bake at 325 for 50-55 min. Used choc. frosting mixed with red food coloring. Use shaved white chocolate for the cheese. Use real fruit leather (in the produce dept) in cherry and use a small circle cookie cutter for the pepperoni, sliced fat black jelly beans for the olives, sliced up green jelly candies for the peppers, and white ones for onions. I halved malt balls and placed them like sausage. Any other fun candy toppings you can come up with. You can always get a pizza place to give or sell you a box and round cardboard to put the cake on. Enjoy!!
The pinatas were destroyed in a matter of minutes and all the 30+ kids scrambled to scoop up the loot!! It was a great ending to a wonderful school year for the kids. Kyle and Jack had a blast celebrating together with all their pals and we were glad the park was a great place to play and get soaked with water guns.
Happy Birthday Jack and Kyle!!

Queen for a day
My Mom is so great! She came up all the way from Vacaville so Mackenzie and Jack could take her puppies into their classrooms to show them to everyone. The students loved them of course, and had plenty of questions. My Mom even got to be the "royal reader" in Jack's class!! The Teacher dressed her up and they played royal music as she strolled down the red carpet while to kids bowed to her. It was really funny. She read the book "bed head" a family favorite that Jack picked out at home to bring. How fun for them to have their Nonnie come to school with them.
The puppies have arrived!
